Monasterio de Piedra
The Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de Piedra is located in autonomous community Aragón, around 3 hours from Valencia. The journey takes us back over 800 years to explore natural landscapes, dreamlike waterfalls, fairytale lakes, enchanting hiking trails, and art. The Monasterio de Piedra is one of the most visited places of Aragón. Its history dates back to 1194 when Alonso II “the Chaste” and his wife Doa Sancha donated an old Moorish castle to the Poblet monks to establish a monastery and transplant the Christian faith to the region. On February 16, 1983, the entire complex was declared a national monument.
This paradisiacal place is located in the village of Nuévalos in Zaragoza, on the banks of the river Pierda, with impressive waterfalls such as Trinidad, la Caprichosa, or la Cola Caballo (53 m high). Magical corners like El Baño de Diana, el Lago del Espejo, la Peña del Diablo. The hike around the park area takes about two hours as it winds around fantastic waterfalls, lakes, and caves.
Program:
6:00 Departure from Valencia
We will meet 5:45 am in front of Mestalla stadium.
10:00 Arrival to the Monasterio de Piedra park
We will arrive at Monasterio de Piedra around 10:00 am. Then you will have 3 hours of free time to explore the historic park-garden of the Monasterio de Piedra.
14:00 - 16:00 Lunch time
We will go to a nearby village (probably Calatayud) to have lunch or visit. If you don’t want to, you can stay in the Monastery.
16:00 Back to Monastery
16:00 – 18:00 We will explore Monasteria de Piedra
18:00 Back to Valencia
We will go back to Valencia
It is important to wear comfortable shoes for walking in the park, sun cream, sunglasses. Water (very important).
You are not allowed to bring food into the monastery, but you can leave it in the bus.
Single ticket: 35 €.
Group of 5 or more people: 34 €.

Important information & Cancellation policy
We will always stay as a group, but if you want to explore on your own, it is possible. You will need to inform one of the organisers and be on time at the meeting places on the time of departure.
The weather is going to be good on the day of the trip. In case of bad weather, the Trip will be postponed/ cancelled or extra precautions will be taken. (In case you cannot join due to cancelation or postponement of the date, your money will be returned to you).
For every trip we have a minimum (50 pers.) and a maximum number of participants.
Cancellation policy:
In case of Emergency(illness, injury or force majeure) your money will be returned.
In other cases, if you cannot join the trip, the following conditions apply:
Until Monday (20:00): 100% devolución. (5 days before)
Until Tuesday (20:00): 80% devolución. (4 days before)
Until Wednesday (20:00): 70% Devolución (3 days before)
Until Thursday (20:00): 50% Devolución. (2 days before)
After Thursday, No devolución (1 day before)
These devolution doesn’t include the service fee.
