Alarcón
If you come with us to Alarcón you will definitely be amazed by this charming village in the province of Cuenca. As soon as you enter the the town, you might think you went time travelling to the middle ages: After being in the hand of Romans and Ibericans, the Arabs conquered the city and gave it its name: Alarcón, meaning fortress in Arabic.
The village is surrounded by the river Jucár which we will see when we go on our stunning hiking trail. We will have amazing views from the path we will take. When we are back in the town, you will have time to see the castle, the Santo Domingo de Silos church, the imposing church of Santa María and the wall paintings by Jesús Mateo in the church of San Juan Bautista!
