Guided tour, castle, city Sunday 09/07/22
Alicante is a port city located on the Mediterranean coast, where we will see the Castle of Santa Bárbara, the Historic Center, the port and we will enjoy the white sand beaches of San Juan.

The second most populous city of Valencian community, which was founded by the Greeks under the name Akra Leuké (“white promontory”), then the Romans named it Album Castrum (“white fortress”) and Lucentum (place of light), and to the arrival of the Arabs this name will be converted to al-Laqant (current name in Valencian) and Alicante in Castilian.

This magical city with an impressive light attracts many tourists for its Mediterranean climate, its castle, white sand beaches and historic center.

Castle of Santa Bárbara and Esplanade of Spain
Santa Barbara castle, located right in the city center at 167 m of altitude, from where the panoramic views of the city, sea, beaches and its surroundings are amazing.
(These days you can visit only by appointment, but thanks to the councilor for culture of Alicante to leave us this opportunity), Special measures covid see below.
The second attraction of this city is the Esplanade of Spain, a promenade parallel to the port, built during the first half of the 20th century, made up of six and a half million tiles that draw a wavy mosaic of red, blue and white colors.
And do not forget, its old town with narrow streets, the Basilica of Santa Maria, and the oldest church in the city.
San juan beach
