Cala del Moraig is the most special corner of the Valencian coast and known for the turquoise color of its waters, this cove is hidden between cliffs and geological formations that recreate a paradisiacal landscape and a unique charm. This is a great location for snorkeling because of the clear waters, which will allow us to see a rich and lively marine landscape, including posidonias and many marine species. We can find the Cova dels Arcs in the northern part of the beach. An underground river makes its exit into the sea through natural arches. are a true paradise on the coast, perfect for enjoying Costa Blanca’s warm weather Beaches here, and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
Cala Moraig beach is a typical Mediterranean beach with sand and stones, near it is Cova dels Arcs an outlet to the sea of an underground river, its interior is a true treasure for lovers of diving and after the activities, you can enjoy in a very nice snack bar.

 

YOU CAN CHECK THE HIKING ROUTES BELOW:

Ruta a Cala Llebeig – 6kms medium level difficulty hiking route with an elevation gain of 866m. 

Ruta a “Cala Tiestos” – 8kms medium level difficulty hiking route with an elevation gain of 467m. 

Program:

8:30 Departure from Valencia
We will meet in front of Mestalla stadium at 8:00 and leave at 8:30.
10:30 Arrival to Cala Moraig
Around 10:30 we will arrive to Cala Moraig and go directly to the beach.
10:30 Hiking group
We will start the hike at 10:30. At 15:00 we will go to the beach and go to the bus at 18:00.
11:00 Non hikers
Non hiking group will stay until 18:00 at the beach and start walking to the bus at that time.
18:00 Visit viewpoint and return to Valencia
We will visit the famous viewpoint “Cumbres del sol” and then we will go back to Valencia

Beach equipment: sunscreen, swimsuit, towels,  water and drinks.
For hiking: suitable footwear (sport or mountain), sunscreen
For snorkeling: snorkeling equipment
Food: There are a restaurants, so you can eat there or you can bring your own food from home (you will have more time to enjoy the beach)

These are rocky beaches, so we recommend that you bring water shoes so you don’t walk barefoot.
