Ciudad Encantada
Before we head to Cuenca, we will stop at another impressing place close to the city: La Ciudad Encantada! It is a large limestone landscape that has various rock formations that remind you of real things such as a dog or a turtle. We will walk along this circular route with a guide and admire the different formations. Such an amazing place!
Devils Window
Close to the Ciudad Encantada we find the “Devils Window” – a natural cave from which you can have an awesome view on the Jucar River. According to a legend, the devil practised his witchcraft in this place and threw anyone in the river who dared to look out of the window. Are you brave enough to dare a look out of it?
Cuenca
After our little tour through the nature of the area, we will drive to the city of Cuenca. Walking through the streets of Valencia, it feel almost like the houses are floating above the ground. Because of lack of space people started to build the houses right next to the slope – they are called “the hanging houses” because of that. Walk the steep stairs up to the old city center of Cuenca – the “ciudad vieja” is declared a UNESCO world heritage, so you should definitely not miss the opportunity to see it! You can visit the gotic cathedral of Cuenca or sit down in a restaurant to drink something or have a beer.

12:30 Arrival to Ciudad Encantada

We visit Ventana del Diablo / the Devil’s Window
Go to Cuenca
We meet in the bus to go to Cuenca, more less we will arrive at 16:00
