Cueva Tallada 
Between Xábia and Denia you will find a true beauty of nature: In this excursion you will see the incredible Caves of Tallada! Its a unique grotto where crytal clear water is flowing. Partly natural and partly made by human, this place will surely blow your mind. If its warm enough you can even go snorkeling in there! 
The route is short – approximately 2 km – so we will only take one hour to do it. Right before the entry of the cave it can be a little bit slippery, so please wear appropiate shoes. 
The grotto was excavated on the level of the sea.Back in the days it was serving for the extraction of tosca and grit for the construction of the buildings of Denia and the castle.
Definatelly, the views of the place will remain in your memory.  In the end of the hike you can also cool yourself down in the waters of the cave.

Without a doubt it is a place which will remain in your memory. In the end of the route, during summer, you can cool yourself down in the clear waters. 
Cave is about 75 meters wide and 15 meters high, which makes the place really spectacular. The water there has an intense blue colour. The clearness of the water makes the best place one of thebest spots for snorkelling.
The grotto has 5 entrances surounded by the sea. The sun doesn´t reach some in some spots, for that reason there are formed small pools with very cold water.
Outside the cave you can admire a spectacular landscape. 
Hiking Route: The hike to the cave takes one hour. Then you have also time to enjoy and explore the place. You can enjoy this path, bordering the sea to the cave, which results with stunning views of the Mediterranean sea.

Located along the Mediterranean coast, Dénia is a cosmopolitan town where the sun shines nearly all year round. This city full of life, colors, and Mediterranean joy has beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Dénia has around 30.000 inhabitants of different nationalities. We are going to enjoy this beautiful city and its white sand beach and crystal clear water the whole day. And at the end of the day, we can go for a drink in one of the most lively corners of the city.

Program:

8:45 Meeting
Meeting in Avenida Aragon 31 (in front of Mestalla)
Start of the hike
When we arrive we will have a short break and then we will start the hike
We will arrive to the caves
We have time to explore and enjoy the caves, have lunch.
Going to Dénia
After approximately 2h in caves we will go with a bus to Dénia
Visiting the city
You have free tim ein the city, you can go to the restaurant, the beach
18:30 Going back to Valencia
Hiking description:
 
Difficulty: Medium level
Duration: 1 hour for one way + time visiting the cave
Distance: approximately 4 km
Altitude: 120 meters (Torre del Gerro)

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat

  • Towel

  • Water (very important)

  • You must wear appropriated shoes to go through the mountain and to get into the water

  • Food and drinks (in a backpack and not in the fridge) in the area there are no services

  • If you want to discover the inside of the cave, do not forget the flashlight or frontal

  • Snorkelling material (in case you want to snorkel)

  • If you want to take pictures, take a waterproof camera or a waterproof case

  • Super important, carry an unused garbage bag. Before leaving the cave, please clean it, we will collect our own garbage or others if we find it, to help to mantain the nature clean
