Elche and Santa Pola

From 18 €
El Palmeral, Beach Saturday 01/05/2021
Elche
In the old town of Elche you can still admire remains from the moors period. In addition, you definitely should not miss the beautiful palm gardens for which Elche is so famous: El Palmeral. This garden invites you to linger and stroll and was declared a World Heritage Site in 2006!
If you are interested in the history of the city, you should definitely visit the Basilica de Santa Maria (a 17th century mosque) and the Torre de Calahorra, a 12th century fortification to protect the city. Elche has a lot to offer!
Santa Pola
Santa Pola was created in ancient times as a port city for Elche. Although the inhabitants of Santa Pola used to live mainly from fishing, over time this has evolved more and more towards tourism. The port and the castle form the center of the city, while it is surrounded by two natural landscapes: The natural park of the Salinas de Santa Pola in the West and in the East the Sierra de Santa Pola. Different beaches invite you to relax and enjoy the sun. You will also have many opportunities in the small town to sit down for a coffee or a beer in a bar and feel the charme of the city!
