Hogueras de San Juan Alicante

We are going to Fallas in Alicante! If you haven’t experienced Fallas in Valencia, now is your time. Hogueras de San Juan en Alicante is the same as Fallas in Valencia. Same costumes, traditions, figures, and fireworks. Those Fallas started from the 20th of June till the 24th. The most important day is the last day (24th of June) because there is La Cremá (burning of figures).
Detailed main dates:
20th of June – on this day Fogueras de San Juan officially begins. At midnight “la plantà” takes place, that is, the process of assembling the deeply satirical polychrome papier-mâché and wood.
21st and 22nd of June – commissions make la Ofrenda de Flores a la Virgen del Remedio, patron of Alicante. The flowers are deposited in a catafalque in the Plaza de Abad Penalva, where the co-cathedral of San Nicolás is located.
23rd of June – the day of the “International Folk Parade”, a colorful parade with floats, dance groups, music bands, and dancers from various countries. It is a parade where the participants show the typical dance music of their country, dressed in traditional costumes.
24th of June – the day of “La Cremá” – burning of figures. The festivities end with the popular “Banyà” (bathed), carried out by firefighters to put out the bonfires and alleviate the heat of the public while singing and applauding.
Program:
15:00 Departure from Valencia
We will meet at 14:45 in front of Mestalla stadium and leave at 15:00.
17:00 Arrival to Alicante
We will arrive to Alicante around 17:00 and visit the statues (fallas figures)
21:00 Firework and party
23:45 Cremá and fireworks
Burning the statues and Palemera fireworks
02:00 Back to Valencia
We will meet at 1:45 in the morning and go back to Valencia at 2:00. Arrival around 04:00 in the morning.

Important information & Cancellation policy
We will always stay as a group, but if you want to explore on your own, it is possible. You will need to inform one of the organisers and be on time at the meeting places on the time of departure.
The weather is going to be good on the day of the trip. In case of bad weather, the Trip will be postponed/ cancelled or extra precautions will be taken. (In case you cannot join due to cancelation or postponement of the date, your money will be returned to you).
For every trip we have a minimum (50 pers.) and a maximum number of participants.
Cancellation policy:
In case of Emergency(illness, injury or force majeure) your money will be returned.
In other cases, if you cannot join the trip, the following conditions apply:
Until Monday (20:00): 100% devolución. (5 days before)
Until Tuesday (20:00): 80% devolución. (4 days before)
Until Wednesday (20:00): 70% Devolución (3 days before)
Until Thursday (20:00): 50% Devolución. (2 days before)
After Thursday, No devolución (1 day before)
These devolution doesn’t include the service fee.
