Tarragona is a port city in northeast Spain, on the Mediterranean Sea’s Costa Daurada. It is the capital of the Province of Tarragona and a part of Tarragonès and Catalonia, having been founded before the 5th century BC.
It is a timeless, beautiful handshake that bridges the gap between the past and the present. Visitors to the city can get a hands-on experience with Roman ruins that are unrivaled in the Iberian Peninsula. Despite being the smallest of the four provincial capitals in the region, it has the cultural and historical appeal of a larger city.
Besides this amazing history, Tarragona offers also delicious local gastronomy. Romesco Sauce made with olive oil, hazelnuts, almonds sweet peppers, onions, garlic, and tomatoes, is a local specialty, its mainly served with fish but is also delicious in accompanying meat dishes. Additionally, Tarragona is renowned for its white wine production. When choosing a wine to accompany your meal, look for the Tarragona wine designation.

Arrival to Tarragona where our guide will be waiting for us to discover the Roman city and all the history of Tarragona.

Free time to continue walking and discovering the beautiful city.
18:30 Return to Valencia
Meet us at the bus at 18:15 and we go back to Valencia
