The English train: Vía Verde de Villalonga
The Vía Verde used to be a old railway line and is considered one of the best places to take a walk in the Valencian Community, as it will impress you with its beauty and peacefulness. You will be amazed by the way as it has so many spectacular views to offer.
You find the Serpis Greenway between Valencia and Alicante – it is a very popular hiking trail! Starting in Villalonga, the route takes us to Lorcha on the bank of the largest river in Alicante. Crossing several tunnels and bridges, you will find the best-preserved building, called the Hell Factory, which is an old hydroelectic power station.
Route
During the 13 kilometre linear route, we will see the old railway between L’Orxa and Villalonga. You will love its beauty and ecological value. We will walk along the Serpis River – the largest river in the province Alicante! Get prepared to see the “Barranc de l’Infern” – a protected landscape with stunning nature. In the end, we will visit “El Racó del Duc”, one of the best natural areas of the Valencian Community. There you can also see the Fábrica del infierno, which used the river water to move the generators!
El Racó del Duc is the ideal combination between the riverside forest that grows near the river and the limestone landscape offered by the Sierras de la Safor and La Cuta.

Program:
9:00 Departure
Meeting point Avenida Aragon 31 (In front of Mestalla). Please, be there 8:45.
10:30 Arrival to Lorcha
The journey will take 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately. We will have around almost 30 minutes break before starting the route.
11:00 Starting the Route
At 11:00 We will start our hiking route and on middle way we will have a stop for lunch.
16:00 End of the route
Once we finish the route, we will have free time to take some drinks together
Coming back home
Food and drink: Bring food and drinks from home because we will walk a lot and we will not stop at any restaurant.
Clothes : Wear comfortable / sports clothing. Do not forget to bring a jacket because it will cool in the afternoon.

Protocolo Coronavirus VLE
In order to travel and enjoy safely we will have to follow these protocols to travel with VLE / CoAcad. First of all, if you feel some symptoms like fever / cough / respiratory problem you should not participate to the trip. Use of a mask will be mandatory at all times on the bus. The bus will be sanitized before and after each service. Before boarding the bus, temperature control will be done. We will give you a disinfecting wipe so you can safely clean your seat. Do not print a ticket to avoid handling paper, show us the QR code on your mobile or just tell us your name and surname. During the guided tour everybody will wear the mask.

If you cannot join the trip, the following conditions apply:
Until Monday (20:00): 100% devolución. (5 days before)
Until Tuesday (20:00): 80% devolución. (4 days before)
Until Wednesday (20:00): 70% Devolución (3 days before)
Until Thursday (20:00): 50% Devolución. (2 days before)
After Thursday, No devolución (1 day before)
Special Coronavirus Protocol. If you feel bad: Fever, cough or Respirate problem , Please don't come at the meeting point. If you show us a a valid paper proof and we will return you in form of voucher. Same apply in case of Emergency(illness, injury or force majeure)
These devolution doesn’t include the service fee.
Important info: We will always stay as a group, but if you want to explore on your own, it is possible. You will need to inform one of the organisers and be on time at the meeting places on the time of departures.
The weather is going to be good on the day of the trip. In case of bad weather, the Trip will be postponed/ cancelled or extra precautions will be taken. (In case you cannot join due to cancelation or postponement of the date, your money will be returned to you).
For every trip, there is always a minimum and a maximum number of participants.
