ZARAGOZA
Charming Zaragoza lays in the northeastern part of Spain, in the region of Aragón. Zaragoza is the fifth-largest city in Spain and the capital city of Spain’s autonomous region of Aragón. Moorish architecture is found throughout Spain. In Zaragoza, you can find Aljafería Palace. In the second half of the 11th century, it was built with ornate Arabic arches and intricate carvings. Currently, it’s the home of the parliament of Aragón, but it’s also open for tours. The city is home to not one but two great cathedrals: the iconic Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, standing next to the river with its Moorish-style towers and domes, and the Catedral del Salvador de Zaragoza, combining baroque, romanesque and mudéjar styles.
Do you know a famous Spanish artist Francisco de Goya? You should visit Collection Ibercaja Museum Zaragoza Goya, which houses 15 of his most important works.
Aragón region has its own cuisine like many regions in Spain. Typical Aragonese cuisine contains many types of stews, including meat and vegetables along with quality products such as haricot beans, onions from Fuentes, and asparagus from the banks of the Ebro River. It’s also known for its various types of fruit. The best dishes to try in Zaragoza include pork loin sausage, cured ham from Teruel, cod al ajoarriero, and lamb.
ALQUÉZAR
Alquézar is located in the Somontano wine region of Huesca, close to the city of Huesca, in a mountain range parallel to the Pyrenees. The town lays in an impressive limestone landscape in which the Vero river is still shaping. The river created over time an incredible canyon for canyoning, cliffs impressive, and rock art caves which are perfect for sports activities or just to hike around in nature. Jalaf ibn Rasid, on the occasion of the war against the Carolingians who occupied the county of Sobrarbe, ordered the construction of the Arab fortification in the 9th century. By visiting Alquézar, we dive into a real historical town.

Kayaking in Zaragoza provides the best views of the city, including Puente Pabellón, El Pilar, and the Puente de Piedra, as well as Cigüeuelas, swans, and even beavers. The activity will be more or less 3 hours and will start in the evening around 17:00, it has a cost of 32 euros (extra)
